The day we became Mr. and Mrs. Korpi
Fred and I just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. I had to reminisce a little that day because it feels like 5 years have gone by so quickly but we have also done some much.  I posted on facebook:

5 years of marriage,
4 different houses,
3 different states,
2 kids, and
1 dog.

This is the short version of our life together and it actually sums up all of the big events in our life but it misses some of my favorite memories.  When we lived in Missouri some of my fondest memories were sitting around a fire with our closest friends.  Our time there was filled with short and long trips, we still lived like college students, and we hardly had a care in the world.  Then I got pregnant and we moved to Ohio where we had to grow up and become adults.  We got to experience all of the joys of that first and second pregnancies, the birth of our kids, watching our puppy grow into a wild dog, and buying a house.  I got to become a stay-at-home mom (which was never the plan) and be with my kids every day.  Fred got into the residency program that he wanted to and is now an orthopedic (resident) surgeon.

When I think about our life it seems so busy but it also has gone by so fast.  I am so happy with the way things have gone for us and I cannot wait to see what the next five years (and beyond) bring to our family.

Last month we went on a date while my mom was visiting.

  1. Awww Jessie your blog is too cute. I can't believe how fast time flies I'm so happy for you both. Your children are beautiful. I canddefinitely relate to you on several levels. My husband is a Family Medicine physician and I am a stay at home mom also. Life is amazing and enjoy your kids while they're little, because they grow fast.
