Time is Flying

                                         Two Months Old

My Appearance:  At my 2 month check up I was 23.25 inches long which
is in the 60% and weighed 11 lbs 12 oz, in the 50%.  This weight may
be a little off because I had a wet diaper and a full tummy when I was
weighed but we will go with it.  I still have a full head of hair and
it is getting longer.  It is a light brown color about the same as
last month.  I still have beautiful blue eyes and I think they might
stay that way because they have not changed much in the last few
weeks.  I am fitting into 3-6 month clothes and currently still in
size 1 diapers.  I have to get my nails trimmed about once a week.  I
still don’t have any eyebrows and everything is about the same as last
month only bigger.

Milestones:  On March 1st I gave mommy her first real smile.  It made
her so happy that I do it all the time now (sometimes I also make a
little noise like I am laughing but I’ll save that for a few months
down the road).  I like the bath now, it is not scary anymore and I
love when I get to kick around in the water, I get mommy wet every
time.  I am also very alert and can follow mommy or daddy around with
my eyes.  I also started sleeping in my crib in my very own room.
This was difficult for mommy but it was time to get on a better
sleeping schedule.

Daily Routine
My schedule is more of the same but a little more
stable these days.  I eat every 3 hours, this includes during the
night.  I love eating and so it doesn’t take me to long anymore,
anywhere from 20-40 minutes.  I take several naps during the day; I
usually stay up for 2 and sleep for 1, eat and repeat.  I am getting
good at tummy time when I feel like working but there are times I just
lay my head down and don’t even try.  Mostly I like to play with mommy
and daddy all day, take a bath and go to bed around 8 O’clock and
start all over at 6 O’clock the next day.

Special Events:  This month I got to meet my Uncle Jed, Aunt Kaitlyn,
and Cousin Hadley.  I had a good time while they were here and loved
getting kisses from Hadley.  That is about the only special event that
happened this past month I just got to spend a lot of time with mommy
and daddy

3 Wonderful Years

Tuesday was our 3rd wedding anniversary!  In the past we usually stay
at home and I cook up some great steaks and we watch basketball, not
very exciting but that's how we like to celebrate.  We don't buy big
gifts for each other because we usually need to save our money for
more practical things like bills, haha! I expected this year to be
about the same, or maybe even more laid back because we have Blaiden.
However; I was very surprised by what happened.  On Saturday I joked
with Fred that I found what I wanted for a gift.  On the Groupon
website they had a deal for a Mani-Peti that lasts an hour and then a
45 min massage.  I would have loved this but told him not to get it
because we didn't need to spend the money.  Tuesday morning rolls
around and my focus was not really even on our anniversary because
Blaiden had his 2 month doctors' visit we had to get ready for.  Fred
came with us but said he needed to drive his truck because he had to
go back to work after.  After the doctor visit, Blaiden and I came
home and 15 minutes later Fred walks in the door holding a beautiful
bouquet of flowers, scratch tickets (we love these), and the spa trip.
I can usually figure out all of my gifts but Fred really did surprise
me on this year!

First Cousin Visit

Blaiden got to met one of his cousin's this week.  My brother Jed, his wife Kaitlyn, and their daughter Hadley, came to visit for a long weekend.  They arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday.  It was a short trip and we wish they could have stayed longer.  It was so great to see them and to get to see Hadley again.  It has been 6 months since I last saw her and she had changed so much.  She was very sweet with Blaiden and gave him tons of kisses.  Fred and I were not so lucky and only received a little love from her.

Blaiden did a lot of sleeping and Hadley would put her finger to her mouth and say Shhhhh to make sure we would not wake him.  It was a very relaxed weekend and we did not really do anything fun but we still had a great time just hanging out at the house.  Hadley and Kiara did not get along very well because Kiara would try to kiss her and she did not want that.  Hadley would just run to her mom or dad if she was around, maybe next time they can play more.

All Smiles

Well the first magic moment happened on March 1st and he has been doing it since then.  It was a little difficult deciding weather or not his smiles were real or if they were still the "gas smiles" he has had since birth.  I was changing his diaper and talking to him and I got a smile.  I was so excited because I thought it was a real one so I tried to get another one.  He ended up smiling 3 times and so I knew they were real.  I was so excited it melted my heart to see that smile, in fact it still does every time I get one from him.  Fred says that he was first to get a smile and it happened multiple times before but this was my first time to see it.

This is exactly how Fred smiles, a half smile that is crooked.

It took us a little while to get a picture of his beautiful grin.

Grandma's Visit

As soon as Fred's dad left his mom, Margaret, came into town to spend the week with us.  It was so nice getting to spend time with her and Blaiden getting to meet her.  We did not do much this week but hang out at the house, but that was okay because all we wanted to do was play with Blaiden anyway.

The first meeting.

We went out to dinner the last night Margaret was here and it did not go very well.  The wait was longer than we thought and so Blaiden got hungry right when our salads came out.  I had to go feed him and when I got back my plate was already out and cold.  Blaiden was ready to be home so I didn't eat much.  I think we might wait a little while before we go out again.
