Another Month Wiser

Four Months Old

My Appearance:  Wow 4 months old today!  I have grown a lot in the last month; I am now 26 inches long which is in the 90%.  I now weigh 16 pounds 3 ounces, only in the 75% for weight.  My hair is lighting up just a little bit and I also am getting a few wavy pieces around my ears.  My hair is also getting pretty long and now Mommy has to part it to the side or it would get in my eyes.  People still can’t see my eyebrows but I am getting more hair on them everyday.  I have a belly now and it is very round.  I am also getting a few rolls on my legs but Mommy tells me how cute they are.

Milestones:  The biggest milestone this month is I started to laugh for real.  Mommy and Daddy were playing with me on May 17th and I started to giggle.  They both got very excited.  I also have found my voice a few days after that and have not stopped yelling or jabbering yet.  I can now sit up really well with some help and I like to do that most of the time.  I have also learned that I can stand up (I still need a little help with this too) but I think that is very fun.

Daily Routine:  I am trying to get back into a routine; it was thrown off a bit when we went on vacation.  I get up for the day around 7AM and eat by 8AM.  Then take a nap at 8:30 for about an hour.  I eat every three hours still and can only stay up for about 2.  I take a longer nap in the afternoon but the time changes a little still.  I go to bed at 8PM and usually sleep for 6-7 hours before I wake up and eat again.  Some nights I wake up again around 5 to eat and others I sleep until I am ready to get up.  One night I slept for 8 hours, which Mommy told me she liked very much.

Special Events:  Wow I did a lot this month and met a lot of new people.  I got to go on my first flight this month.  Mommy and I went to Colorado to visit family.  I did really well on the flight; it was almost like going on a car ride so I slept almost the whole time.  While in Colorado I got to meet most of my cousins, all my uncles, grand parents, great grand parents and my great great grandma.  I also met some of Mommy’s friends.  I flew for a second time and went to meet up with Daddy for my first time in Missouri.  I didn’t like that flight as much but I was very happy to see my Daddy after not seeing him for 2 weeks.  In Missouri I got to meet a lot of Mommy and Daddy’s friends and had a good time.  Mommy, Daddy, Kiara, and me all drove home together.  It took us 2 days to get back when we were planning on 1 because Kiara and I make the drive go a little slower then expected.  It was a very eventful month and I had a great time but I am sure glad to be home where things are a little more relaxed.

Last Leg of the Trip

When Blaiden and I left Colorado we headed to Kirksville Missouri.  We had a ton of friends graduating from medical school so we thought it would be nice to get to see everyone again.  We had a great time hanging out with all our old friends.

Fred and the 3 new Doctors

Andy and Pam

Look how happy they are

That evening we all went out to the lake for a BBQ and some quality time together.  It was so fun, just like the old times only with a few new additions.

Shawn and Tiff also had a son about 3 weeks before Blaiden.  It was nice to meet Reid.

Tiff and I with our little boys!

I love this picture, I have one of these boys at the end of every school year. Who knows when the next time we will all get together again.

Part 2

The cutest thing while we were home was watching Hadley interact with Blaiden.  She gave him tons of kisses and was always saying "Shhh" so Blaiden could sleep.

I wish these two could spend more time together.

Right before we left Casey came over to meet Blaiden.  It was so nice that we could fit everyone in and almost everyone got to meet our new addition.

Wow What A Trip!

Thursday April 29th Blaiden and I left to go to Colorado for 2 weeks before we met back up with Fred in Missouri.  I was so worried about traveling alone with Blaiden but he did great.  Getting through security was difficult but went as best as it could.  Our flight's landing was delayed and so we were in the air for about 4 hours but Blaiden slept almost the entire time.

Our time in Colorado went by so fast because we were so busy.  There was a ton of family that Blaiden had not met yet and we had to make the rounds.
Great Aunt Liz and Great Grandma meeting Blaiden

Great Grandpa got some smiles out of Blaiden

Meeting Great Uncle Robert

Great "Granny" Grandma and Great Great Aunt Connie Jean sure loved to see him

Great Aunt Melissa skipped out on work just to come and say hello

Uncle Thad

Blaiden loved meeting G-pa, every time Blaiden heard his voice he would just start to smile and look around.  It was very cute.

Tonka, Ukki, and Blaiden
During our time there we just spent as much time as possible with all of our family.  I got to go to a college friend's wedding and we also met up with both of Fred's brothers.  I wish we had more time with everyone and now is when I wished we lived closer to home.  We can't wait until we get to see everyone again.

Part 2 of the trip coming soon...

1st Mother's Day

This year was my first Mother's day and it could not have been more special.  On Sunday we were driving back from Missouri to Ohio and then Fred had to leave to Pennsylvania to take a test so I didn't get spoiled until Wednesday. It was definitely worth the wait.  Fred, Blaiden, and Kiara all gave me a gift (thanks Fred).  I got a Pandora bracelet, a charm with Blaiden's birth stone and a puppy charm.  It is very beautiful and I can't think of anything better to receive for Mothers day.

I have worked with kids for the last 10 years of my life.  I have loved those kids more then I thought possible and would do anything for them.  I did not know that I could love someone so much, but becoming a mother has showed me just how much I don't know.  I would do anything for Blaiden and I mean ANYTHING!  As I look at him right now the amount of love, joy, and pride is overwhelming.  I just hope I can show him how much I care for him.  Becoming a mother is the best experience I have had and I now know that this was my true calling in life.

 I love you Blaiden.
