Good Eats

This past month Blaiden has been enjoying some good eats.  He loves carrots and apples, but thinks peas are gross.  Really he is not a fan of anything green but we are working on that. He still makes a huge mess while eating but I figure that is part of the fun.  I wanted to share a few photos of meal time.

We need to send a special thank you out to Ukki and Tonka!  For Blaiden's 6th month birthday they sent him a very special and much needed gift, a Baby Bullet, set of bowls, spoons, and plates.  I have loved using the Baby Bullet and we needed the bowls and spoons for sure.  Thanks guys!

G-Ma Comes to Visit

On the evening of Wednesday August 15th my mom flew into town.  Fred was out of town so Blaiden and I went to pick her up.  We were waiting at baggage claim and when she came up she went straight for Blaiden and started giving him kisses.  Blaiden was not to sure about this and started crying.  But it didn't take long before they became friends.  We had a very busy few days while she was here, we went shopping (a few times) and did lots of playing.  By the end of the trip Blaiden and G-Ma were good friends.  G-Ma could get him to laugh and smile about any time she wanted to and Blaiden was happy to have someone entertain him nonstop.  I also enjoyed having my mom around, it was so good to see her and spend time with her.  It is nice to have an extra set of hands, she would take Blaiden for a walk while Kiara and I would go on a run.  Blaiden loves to be outside and Kiara needs the exercise so it worked out for everyone.  Were were all sad when Tuesday morning rolled around, it went by so fast.  Good thing we will be home in a few months.

Crawling Through Time

Seven Months Old

My Appearance:  In my 7^th month of life I am still growing like a weed.  As of Monday the 21^st I weigh 18 pounds 10 ounces.  I am now 28 and 3/4 inches long and wearing mostly 12 month clothes.  My hair is getting so long and Daddy wants to cut it but Mommy won’t let him.  My eyes are still blue and they seem to be brighter this month.  I still only have my two bottom teeth but I think my top ones are going to be coming in because sometimes my mouth hurts.  I am getting a little leaner and not so chubby but I still have a few rolls.  My feet are so thick I can’t really wear shoes. 

Milestones:  A month seems to go by so fast but I seem to learn things all the time.  This month I am getting to be much more coordinated and can grab almost anything I want to.  I am also getting very quick and so I even get stuff Mommy and Daddy don’t want me to.  I no longer like to sit still, I want to move all the time.  This makes it a little hard for Mommy and Daddy to go out but I always have fun.  I started eating solid food this month!  I have eaten a bunch of veggies and a few fruits and so far I like carrots and apples the best, and I really don’t like peas.  I also started crawling on August 16^th!  I am getting pretty good at it now that I have figured it out.  I get up on my elbows and knees and fall forward.  I am getting stronger everyday and I am also getting faster too.  I still can’t sit up but I am getting better.  I also have learned how to fake cough.  It makes such a funny noise that I do it a few times and it always gets me attention.

Daily Routine:  My days are all filled with playing, sleeping, and eating.  I don’t have set times for anything but I usually take 3 naps and in between I play with Mommy, Daddy, and Kiara.  I like to spend time outside everyday, sometimes I ride in the stroller while Mommy runs or walks and other times we just sit on the porch and watch the cars drive by or we take Kiara to the dog park.  Peek-a-boo is one of my favorite games but really give me anything and I will put it in my mouth to try and figure it out.  I also like to look in mirrors and playing with toys that make music. 

Special Events:  In the last month I got to take Mommy out for her birthday, we had a good time at a restaurant with some of her friends.  Daddy was working out of town this month and so one night Mommy, Kiara, and I went up to visit him and spent the night in a hotel.  I had a fun time seeing Daddy.  It was also a surprise when Daddy would come home a few times a week to see me.  Another fun part of the month is when G-Ma came to visit me.  I got to spend 5 full days with her and she made me giggle non-stop.  I had such a fun time with here I can’t wait to see her again.

The Less Then 1 Day Vaca

Well we had another spontaneous little trip this week.  Fred is working up in Cleveland which is only about an hour away so we thought he could come home every few days.  Well this weekend he is flying to Colorado for a friends wedding and so he was going to come home on Thursday night.  He asked me at 2:30pm if I could find a room and come up to visit him.  So I started getting ready to go.  It took two hours but Blaiden, Kiara, and I were on our way up to Cleveland.  I have to say I was pretty proud that I could get everything packed up and be on the road that quick.  It was great to see Fred and I know Blaiden enjoyed it too.  We went out to dinner and then just hung out in the room.  Blaiden got to stay up till 9, what an exciting life we lead.  We all woke up early when Fred left to go to work and so we were gone for about a total of 16 hours but it was worth it.  I hope Fred has fun in Colorado this weekend.  We might get to see him again early next week.

Blaiden no longer sits still so this is the only decent picture from the night.  He was also trying to eat everything on the table so we had to give him his binky to keep him from eating the table.

My yummy personal birthday cake!

I started celebrating my birthday a few days early when I used the spa day that Fred got me for our anniversary.  I told him that if he watched Blaiden so I could go that could be my present.  It was a great day, I got my fingers and toes done as well as a great massage.  When I got home Blaiden was ready to eat so I only missed one feeding.  We then went to Dairy Queen to get a Blizzard (they were donating $1 for every Blizzard sold to St. Jude Children's Hospital), then went to the store to go buy crab legs for me and a steak for Fred for dinner.  We had a home cooked meal and a little cake to finish off the night.
On my actual birthday I was home with Blaiden while Fred was working up in Cleveland.  I went and did a little extreme coupon shopping (which I love doing), opened a few gifts that came in the mail, and ended the night by going out with some girlfriends.  I even had dessert so it was a great night.  I also had the cutest date of all time, Thanks for taking me out Blaiden!
