October

October was a very fun month and I felt like we got to celebrate Halloween all month long.  I got to be involved with Blaiden’s school for a couple events.  First was his “Walk-a-thon” fundraiser for his school.  The kids raised money and then got to complete a ninja warrior course outside.  It was so fun meeting all his friends and seeing little kindergarteners play and run around.  Second was his classroom party for Halloween.  The kids did not get to dress up for school but they had fun digging though pumpkins, racing bugs, and doing crafts.  I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it but Fred got home just in time to watch the girls so I could go.  Blaiden also finished up soccer this month and went to a wrestling camp then finished it up with a tournament.  I wrote more about it in this post.

Adilene gave us a little scare when she got a fever in the middle of the month and we thought we would be in the hospital for a few days but her little body fought hard and her counts were high enough to make it just a quick 6 hour trip and we were discharged that night.  She only had to stay home from school for a few days to recover.  I also got to go to her Halloween party for her preschool.  She wore her costume but didn’t want her Rapunzel hair.

Kallie had her first ear infection this month, I think she gave it to Adilene.

We went to a pumpkin patch with some friends and had a great time.  They have older boys so Blaiden was in heaven running around with them.  We also went trick or treating with them in their neighborhood.  The kids loved it, I don’t think they stopped running for 2 hours straight and ended up with a ton of candy.  Adilene liked the running more then the trick-or-treating so she didn’t get quite as much.  Fred had to leave to Missouri when our neighborhood did our trick-or-treating so Blaiden ended up just passing our candy to kids here.  He loves doing that and I think gives out huge handfuls because he ran out of candy in about an hour and a half.  This year Blaiden was Superman, Adilene was Rapunzel, and Kallie was a candy corn.  Fred and I also went to a party and we were Heisinger and Jesse from Braking Bad.

Around here we also have Halloween early and so on the actual day I finally got a picture of all the kids in their pumpkin shirts.
