Wow I am getting old!

Five Months Old

My Appearance:  Yesterday was my five month birthday!  I was weighed today and I am now 16lbs 14 oz and I am 26.5 inches long.  My hair is getting longer and it is a light brown color although in the sun it looks a little red.  I also have some curls around my ears and so my hair always looks crazy.  I also have a very large bald spot on the back of my head.  I got my first tooth this month and today I got my second tooth.  I still only have blonde hair for eyebrows.  I look a little chunky with my double chin and rolls all over my body. 

Milestones:  This month I have done quite a few new things.  First on May 29^th I rolled over from my back to my belly.  Now I spend most of my time on my belly.  Throughout the month I also went from high pitch screaming to a low tone babble.    On June 19 I got my first tooth.  I am so tough that Mommy didn’t even know I was getting it until it was already poking through.  Then a few nights later on June 21 I decided to not wake up in the night to eat and slept for 12 hours straight.  Today, a day after my 5 month birthday I got my second tooth.

Daily Routine:  My routine has changed a little this month.  At first I woke up at about 6:30, ate at 7:30 and every 3 hours after that, my naps were only 30-45 min and I took about 4 naps a day, went to bed at 8, and woke up usually around 3:30 to eat in the middle of the night.  The past week it has changed to getting up around 7 and eating, I take my first nap around 8:30 for about an hour, then get up and eat.  I go down for my second nap around 12:30 and this nap lasts about 2 hours.  I get up and eat, play, and then go down for a short nap at about 4:45 for 20-30 minutes.  When I get up I eat again, play, and eat right before bed at about 7:30.  During all my play time I like to stand up a lot.  I got a new toy this month that helps me do that and I love to play in it.  I also like to sit in my Bumbo and watch Mommy cook.  I like to grab at everything and then it goes straight into my mouth.  I got Tylenol and Origel this month and I do not like that nasty stuff.

Special Events:  I had to spend almost this entire month without my Daddy around.  I love spending time with Mommy but my Daddy is just so funny I missed laughing at him.  Mommy and I did take a long drive to go and visit him this month and that was really fun.  We all went to the St. Louis Zoo where I got to see a ton of animals.  Daddy got me a monkey named Joe and he is one of my favorite toys to play with.  I love to spend time outside and I got to do a lot of that this month too.  I go swimming, take Kiara to the dog park, and go on runs with Mommy.  I also got to celebrate Father’s day with Daddy a week late when he came home.  

Father's Day

Fred was gone last Sunday on the real Father's Day so we celebrated it today.  We didn't do anything really big, just hung out all day.  Fred got to take a nap, then we went to the dog park, and came home and cooked a good meal out on the grill.  Fred got the NFL Sunday ticket for his Father's Day gift from us and our parents.  He was very happy with this because he has to watch his Bronco's play.

We are all so happy to be back together as a family.  We have missed having Fred around the house and now we get to have him around a lot more often.

Surprise!

Yesterday I got a very big surprise from our little man, he got his first tooth!!!  Lately Blaiden has been putting everything in his mouth.  It is so funny because his grip is pretty strong and once he gets a hold of something it goes straight to his mouth.  I thought that he was just doing this to try and figure things out and not to sooth himself.  So, yesterday I was on the phone with my brother and Blaiden grabbed my hand and put one of my fingers in his mouth and boy was I shocked when I felt something poking me.  I got very excited and got off the phone so I could text Fred and call my mom.  Blaiden did so well I didn't even know he was teething.  I am so proud of this little tough guy!  Lets hope all of his teeth are this easy.

3 Days and Counting

I can not wait until Fred comes home.  I have been home alone for 6 weeks and it is getting to me.  I have decided that I do not want to be a single mom.  I am so happy to have someone to help me around the house.  In the time that Fred has been gone I have had to do many things that I don't normally do.  Taking out the trash, putting the trash out on trash day, mow the lawn, pick up dog poo, light the water heater tank (multiple times), fix the drain in the bathtub, and try and keep the yard looking nice.  Now I did not succeed on each of these tasks but I made it through our time apart.

I think Kiara is missing Fred also.  I don't love on her very much and she is in need of some major cuddling.  She won't leave me alone all day.  I think when he gets home she will attack him and Blaiden and I will have a hard time getting close to him.

I am so ready for Fred to be home but in the back of my mind I am thinking don't get to use to having him around because after 5 weeks at home he will be off again.

Who Says...

Who says you can't be spontaneous after you have a baby.  Fred has been gone for 3 weeks and all of us were missing each other a ton, but after Fred and I talked about it we decided that a 9 hour drive was just to hard for me to do alone with Blaiden.  Then I was talking to a few people and at 11 AM on Thursday I decided that I would leave after Blaiden woke up in the middle of the night to eat. 
So at 3:30 AM I left Massillon and headed for St. Louis.  It took us a little bit longer then it would have normally but we had a pretty good trip on the way down.  We stopped at a few rest stops and got out and played on the grass.  When we got to St. Louis we had a really good time hanging out.
We got to stay with some friends that have a 3 year old who Blaiden loved to watch.  It was so good to see Fred and I know Fred loved seeing Blaiden.  On Saturday we went to the zoo and had a great time.  Blaiden didn't really care what was going on but Fred got him a monkey named Joe who he loves.

It was a long day and Blaiden was wore out by the end of it.

Our ride home was a little bit harder than the ride out there but we made it home.  Now we have 2 more weeks until Fred is home and we can not wait.

Pool Time

On Memorial day Blaiden and I went to my friend Amy's apartment complex and played in the pool.  I was very excited to see if Blaiden liked to be in the water or not.  Fred and I both love the water and so we want our kids to like it too.  The best thing to do is start them off early so they are not afraid of the water.  So I was very excited walking to the pool carrying 2 bags and a car seat.  It still amazes me how much stuff a little baby needs.  Anyway, when we first got there he was sleeping so I got to lay out for a while.  When he woke up we headed straight for the baby pool.  It was a very hot day and so the water felt good.  Blaiden was a little apprehensive at first but he warmed up the water very quick.  We played for almost 40 minutes then it was time to eat.  We ended the day with Blaiden taking another nap.  I think our summer is going to be filled with pool days!
