Blaiden's First Baseball Game

On Sunday August 18th, the hospital that Fred works at had a get together at a baseball game.  It was Ohio's minor league team and we had a great time.  We left our house at about 11:15 so that Blaiden could take a nap in the car.  We ended up driving all the way to Cleveland and back to Akron before he woke up.  When we got to the game we walked around outside because there were a ton of geese and Blaiden wanted to chase them around.  Then we went in to a picnic with the people from the hospital.  Blaiden loved eating a hotdog and chips until he discovered that there were also cookies, after that it was hard getting him to finish his lunch.  He did get a cookie for dessert and shoved the whole thing in his mouth as fast as he could.  To get out of giving him another one we decided to walk around inside the stadium.  Blaiden had a blast walking/running around and showing off for all the people.  When the game started we went to go look for our seats.  Blaiden stopped at a rail and watched the game there for a few minutes.  It was the cutest thing ever.

We all had a great time and we even got to stay for the entire game, which I was thinking we wouldn't.  I think that this will be happening again.

Hall of Fame 2013

This year the Hall of Fame weekend was a lot of fun.  I say weekend but really it's about a 2 week celebration.  We started out by going to a balloon festival on July 20th.  It was fun to walk around and we met another doctor's wife with 2 kids.  The wind was blowing too hard for any hot air balloons to take off but we got to eat some good greasy carnival food.

The next weekend we all stayed up late and went to the big fireworks show.  Blaiden thought that this was very fun.  He was tired but determined not to fall asleep.  We got to run around outside for a while but then it started raining.  Trying to keep a toddler busy in a parked car is no easy task and we had to do it for almost 2 hours.  When the fireworks finally started Blaiden sat on my lap and I rolled down the window.  We were very close and so the noise scared Blaiden.  He sat on Fred's lap for a while but ended up on my lap to watch the end.  When it was time to go Blaiden was asleep before we got out of the parking lot.

This past Saturday was the big Hall of Fame parade.  We were planning on getting there early but Blaiden decided to sleep in a bit more than normal so we ended up only getting there about 20 min before it started and had to stand in a crowd.  There are some perks to being pregnant because 20 min after the parade started I was offered a seat where Blaiden and I could see while sitting down.  Blaiden was not to sure about it when everything started but when he heard the bands and watched some dance teams he loved it.  I left about an hour after it started to go and get my massage and Fred and Blaiden stayed for about 45 more minutes until Blaiden was ready to go.  It was a fun time and I think Blaiden enjoyed his first parade.

It gets better ever year...

A week ago I celebrated my 27th birthday.  I am not going to lie I love my birthday, who doesn't love to get spoiled and celebrated the day they were welcomed into this world.  Thankfully Fred knows this about me and does a very good job every year.  This year I wanted to make my own dinner and had a great menu planned, Salmon for me and a steak for Fred, mashed potatoes with fresh parsley, fresh green beans, and a cobbler for dessert.  Because I was making my own dessert on my birthday Fred gave me cupcakes the night before.  I had been wanting to try this local cupcake shop since Blaiden's birthday but they seemed to be closed every time I thought about it.  They were delicious.  I also ate one for lunch the next day.

During the day I got a few cards that I could open, I got a lot of phone calls, and mostly I spoiled Blaiden because I could.  Fred had to work late so I ended up cooking out on the grill (no big deal).  When he got home he had Blaiden bring me my gift which was a pregnancy massage already scheduled for that Saturday.  We ate dinner, put Blaiden to bed, and then I ate dessert.  It was a great day.  When I got my massage on Saturday it was fantastic.  It was very relaxing and something that I was very much in need of.

My boys are the BEST!!!

Eighteen Months Old

Eighteen Months Old

My Appearance:  My appointment was 2 weeks after my 18 month birthday.  I am weighing in at 24 pounds and 13 ounces and I am 33 3/4 inches long.  My hair is growing so fast that I get a hair cut about every other month.  Mom and Dad have even tried to do a few at home; I’m not a big fan of getting my hair cut.  My eyes are still a light blue and I think that they will stay that way forever now.  When I smile I show off all 11 teeth I have now (As of today I have 14 and 2 more should be poking through soon).  I am tall and lean but when I don’t have a shirt on my belly does seem to poke out a lot.  I am in size 24 month clothes and they fit perfect.  I am also in size 4 diapers.

Milestones:  In the past 6 months there have been a few things that are new to me.  In the last 2 months I have gotten 6 new teeth.  This has not been fun for me or for my parents, but now I can chew up food so much better. In March I got to go to a basketball game with Mom and Dad.  This is where I learned to clap.  I haven’t stopped clapping since.  I have learned how to make sounds like a dog, cow, cat, elephant, and dinosaur.  Sometimes I try the talking thing but I haven’t really figured that out yet.  I also moved into my new house.  I love my room and my back yard the most.  Some of the things I have learned to do and now do best are high-five, knuckles, head bump, marching, and following directions (sometimes).  I am sure that there are other things I have learned in the last six months but they are so normal now I can’t think of any more.

Daily Routine:  I like to get up at about 6:15 in the morning.  By this time Daddy is already gone to work so I get to hang out with Mommy, eat breakfast, and watch cartoons.  Right now my favorite is Mickey Mouse Club House, but I also like Little Einsteins and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  After we get ready for the day we usually take a trip in the car to run some errands.  We come home for a little snack and play out in the back yard for a little while.  Then it is naptime.  I usually go down around 11 and wake up around 1.  When I get up I cuddle with Mommy on the couch for a little while then get up and eat lunch.  Some of my favorite foods are apples, grapes, and peaches.  I like fruit the best.  After lunch we end up playing outside all afternoon as long as it is not too hot.  We come in and Mommy works in the kitchen while I watch a Mickey Mouse show.  Then for my favorite part of the day Daddy comes home.  Kiara and I are both excited to see him but he always picks me up first.  I play with everyone for a couple hours and love getting all the attention.  I take a bath where I love to splash Mommy and then it’s time for bed around 7.

I did get some professional photos done but we haven't gotten them back yet.  I'll make sure that Mom posts my best shots on here.
